working pressure

Glossary definition--

working pressure
The resistance the bandage sets against the working (contracting) muscles. This pressure is temporary and is only active during expansion as the muscle contracts. Short-stretch bandages exert a high working pressure. Compare with resting pressure. See Self-Care: Bandaging/Wrapping.
