resting pressure

Glossary definition--

resting pressure
The pressure the bandage exerts on the tissues when the muscles are not contracting. Short-stretch bandages exert a low resting pressure which minimizes the risk of a tourniquet effect as long as the bandages are applied properly. Compare with working pressure.
