In response to these inquiries, we have researched this issue and learned that the picture is not bright despite the generous intentions of the donors.

The Lymphatic System

The body is usually thought of as having one circulatory system,  known as the cardiovascular system. In this system the heart  pumps blood in a continuous loop throughout the body. Within this loop the blood is filtered by the kidneys to remove debris and excess fluids. 

The less well known other circulatory system is the lymphatic system.  For those who are concerned with lymphedema, understanding this body system is extremely important!
